Obituary for Pearl Tart Giles

Mrs. Pearl Tart Giles went to be with the Lord on Monday April 2, 2018. She was born in Harnett County on July 15, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Bessie Weeks Tart of Dunn. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Randolph Giles. They were married for 45 years and shared a life serving the Lord.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Tart Houston.

Mrs. Giles retired as a sales clerk from Woolworth’s in Richmond, Virginia. Mrs. Giles was a dedicated member of the United Methodist Church of Lillington where she served in all areas of the church and mission programs. Mrs. Giles also served the community volunteering with meals on wheels.

A private service will be held on Wednesday April 11, 2018 at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Giles leaves behind her brother; Willie Martin Tart of Dunn; nephews; Sammy Olin Tart and wife Christina of Dunn,  Robert Martin Tart and wife Diana of Dunn, Roger Beasley and wife Susan, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Beasley and Bill Greer all of Dunn,  Denise B. Holder, Wallace Wayne Pitts, Johnny and Michael Giles; nieces; Dianne Warren, Carol Kelly and Ida G. Fredericks all of Virginia, Cheryl Motsenbocker of Louisiana, and Denise Holder of Spring Lake; great nephews, Dylan Martin Tart, Elliott and Daniel Beasley all of Dunn; great nieces, Caitlan Mae Tart of Charleston, SC, Brandy Strickland, and Molly Tart of Benson.
