Obituary for Marion Leeronald Daniels

Mr. Marion Leeronald Daniels, 83, of Godwin died Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab in Benson.

Mr. Daniels was born November 13, 1934 in Sampson County to the late Marion B. and Annie Dell Howard Daniels and was also preceded in death by his brother, Elmond Sherrill Daniels.

He was a 1953 graduate of Clement High School.

Mr. Daniels was a farmer, worked with the ASC Office of Sampson County measuring land, multiple tobacco markets weighing tobacco, Dunbar Foods and retired from the United States Postal Service.

He was a lifetime and faithful member of Baptist Chapel Church where he served as the treasurer of the Brotherhood.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Baptist Chapel Church with Rev. Joey Cantrell and Rev. Alan Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Daniels is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce Tart Daniels; daughter, Wanda Daniels Beaufort and husband Ronald of Charleston, South Carolina; sons, Ronald Terry Daniels and wife Gail of Benson, Larry Kenneth Daniels and wife Beth of Mobile, Alabama; brother, Donald Daniels and wife Judy of Godwin; sisters, Iris Rose Stewart, Jan Stewart and husband Tommy, all of Godwin, Sherline Bass of Newton Grove, Frances Daniels Callis and husband Joe of Clinton, Annette McDuffie and husband Bobby of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Katie Daniels and Adam Lockamy.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m.Tuesday at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home in Dunn.
