Obituary for Kathy Allen Romero

Kathy Allen Romero, 58, of Tomball, TX, formerly of Dunn passed away at her home Friday March 30, 2018. She was born on April 28, 1959 in Dunn to the late Monroe and Jewell Allen. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elaine Bass and Brenda Skinner. 

Kathy attended schools in Dunn, and graduated from Dunn High School in 1977. During her early years, Kathy was part of a Gospel singing group known as the Master’s Seven. The group performed up and down the east coast, singing and praising Jesus. Kathy loved Jesus very much. Her love for Jesus was evident in everything she did. 

Kathy spent the vast majority of her working career in Human Resources.  She enjoyed spending time together with family and friends, and spending time at the beach, being near and listening to the water. Her special interests and hobbies included crocheting, especially baby keepsake blankets. Some of her favorite times out and about were to watch her precious grandchildren. 

She is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Roger Romero, three daughters; Casey Romero Ayala and husband JR, Katie Romero Kishbaugh and husband Trevor, Chelsey Romero Petry and husband Chris, two stepdaughters; Andrea Romero Hernandez and husband Johnny and Audra Romero Diaz and husband Victor, nine grandchildren; Aliena Diaz, Davin Diaz, Ethan Diaz, Aislynn Ayala , Bella Ayala , Ada Ayala , Benjamin Kishbaugh , Nathan Kishbaugh and Landon Petry; a sister; Portia Allen of Simpsonville, SC.  She had many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Grove Presbyterian Church by Rev. Michael Weaver. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
