Obituary for Jonathan "Jonny" Mark Hardee

Mr. Jonathan “Jonny” Mark Hardee, 61, of Dunn died Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Duke University Hospital in Durham from complications of multiple myeloma.

Mr. Hardee was born December 17, 1955 in Lorian County, Ohio son of the late William Randall and Nellie Mae Humphrey Hardee.

Mr. Hardee was a 1974 graduate of Coats High School and a graduate of Nashville Auto Diesel College in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a retired mechanic from the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh and a member of Coats United Methodist Church.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Coats United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Cecil officiating. Burial will follow at Devotional Gardens.

Mr. Hardee is survived by his wife of 35 years; Vanessa Jackson Hardee, sons; Michael Hardee and wife Brittany of Fuquay-Varina, David Hardee of Charlotte, brothers; Bill Hardee and wife Ann of Willow Spring, Fred Hardee and wife Elaine of Watertown, South Dakota, sisters; Brenda Pazzuto and husband Daniel of Coats, Debbie Byrd and husband Dell of Coats and brother-in-law; Kelly Jackson and wife Elaine of Apopka, Florida.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home in Dunn.
