Obituary for Jackson Glenn Barefoot

Jackson Glenn Barefoot, 17, of Godwin died Sunday evening unexpectedly. He was born in Sampson County on November 21, 2000. 

Jackson was a rising senior at Midway High School where he was a member of the Midway High School Marching Band, Beta Club, the Fayetteville Symphony Youth Orchestra, and All County Band. He was also a member or Baptist Chapel Church. 

A celebration of life service will be held Thursday at 11a.m. at Baptist Chapel Church by Rev. Joey Cantrell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

He is survived by his mother, Renee Jackson and husband Brent of Godwin, his father Jody G. Barefoot of Dunn, a half brother, Daylan Barefoot of Dunn, a brother, Eric Jackson and wife Cassie of Autryville, a sister, Brandy Barbour and husband Garrett of Autryville, maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Doris Jackson of Godwin, Elsie Jackson of Dunn, paternal grandparents, Hugh and Mary West of Newton Grove, Leonard and Deborah Barefoot of Dunn, and several aunts and uncles. 

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home. The family asks instead of flowers that memorials be made to Midway District Band Boosters, c/o Shannon Coats, 438 Clubhouse Dr. Dunn, NC 28334.
