Obituary for Geneva Pearl Hall

Mrs. Geneva Pearl Vann Hall, 92, of Wade died Sunday, September 8, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family and devoted, loving caretakers, granddaughter Samantha and Jeremy Strickland.  She was born on August 15, 1927 to the late William Eldridge and Ida Mae Vann. She was the widow of William “Rupert” Hall and was also preceded in death by three sisters; Jeanette Potter, Elsie Williams and Ada Celesta House, and a brother, James Rufus “Jr.” Vann. 

Geneva was a longtime member of Antioch Baptist Church of Falcon. She worked with her husband running the family farm for over 40 years.  

A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 10 am at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Sammy McLamb. 

She is survived by a son, Thomas Hall and wife Patty of Godwin, beloved granddaughter, Samantha Marie Hall; three grandsons; Eddie, Mike and Jeff Longhany of Wade, eight great grandchildren; Michael, Colby, Wade, Marty, Harper, Jeffrey and Jennings Longhany and Johnson Raynor, two sisters; Christine “Goose” Barefoot of Eastover, Glenda Kortbein and husband Jim of Arizona, three brothers, Cletus Vann and wife Barbara, Earl Vann and wife Peggy, and Donald Ray Vann and wife Connie all of Wade. 

The family will receive friends at her home, 5491 Stewart Rd. Wade. The family asks instead of flowers that memorials be made to Antioch Baptist Church, 6237 Front St., Falcon, NC 28342. 

Arrangements are by Skinner & Smith Funeral Home of Dunn.
