Obituary for Donnie Ray Hardison

Mr. Donnie Ray Hardison, 72, of Godwin died Tuesday evening at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab. He was born in Harnett County on June 21, 1946 to the late Noah and Minnie Hardison. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Hardison, a brother, John Hardison and a sister, Lilma Wrench.

Donnie was a lifelong farmer and was a member of the Falcon Church of God of Prophecy.

A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home by Rev. Thomas Wrench and Rev. Samuel Hall. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens.

He is survived by two sons, Timothy Ray Hardison and wife Helen of Dunn, Chris Hardison and wife Cecilia of Godwin, a daughter, Robin Parrish and husband Frank of Godwin, two sisters, Beatrice Bass of Dunn, Edith Barefoot of Roseboro, seven grandchildren; Renee Parrish, Jessica Stewart, Kyle Parrish, Matthew Hardison, Laura Hardison, Alan Hardison and Amy Hardison, four great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10 to 11a.m. at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Falcon Church of God of Prophecy, c/o Samuel Hall, 1469 Savannah Hill Rd. Dunn, NC 28334.
