Mr. Jim Wade Goodman

Mr. Jim Wade Goodman, 48, the son of Jimmy and Gail Goodman, of Dunn died Sunday morning at his residence.

Born on September 28, 1963, Jim was a 1981 graduate of Dunn High School where he was a member of the band. He was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UNC at Chapel Hill in 1985, where he played with the marching band. He then graduated from UNC School of Law in 1988. Jim, currently with the McCoy, Wiggins, Cleveland & O’Connor Law Firm in Fayetteville, was also a lifelong member of Divine Street United Methodist Church. He served as a member of Averasboro Battle Field Commission, the Community Choir and DHS Friends.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Divine St. United Methodist Church by Rev. Gayla Collins. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

In addition to his parents he is survived by two sons; Jackson Goodman of Chapel Hill, Spencer Goodman of Lillington, special friend, Teresa Carter of Dunn, uncle, Sherrill Goodman and wife LaRue of Dunn, and cousins, Ashley Raynor, Lisa Bradham and Scott Goodman.
