Mr. James “Jim” Radley, JrNovember 24, 1945 - December 30, 2013
Mr. James “Jim” Radley, Jr., 68, of Dunn died Monday afternoon at his residence. He was born in Utica, NY on November 24, 1945 to the late James A. and Jean E. Radley.
Jim served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the N.Y. State Police in 1991 after 22 years of service as a Tech Sgt. and was Chief Of Maintance for the police aviation unit. He also worked for 15 years for Godwin Manufacturing as a field representative.
A funeral mass will be held Thursday at 11a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Father Paul Parkinson. Burial will follow in Lee’s Chapel/Williford Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Connie P. Radley of Dunn, two sons, Scott Radley and wife Christina of Creedmoor, Shawn M. Radley of Dunn, two brothers, Jack Radley of Sherrill, N.Y., Jeff Radley of Camden, N.Y.
The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 3 to 4 p.m. at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home.
