Mr. William B. “Bill” Cutler

Mr. William B. “Bill” Cutler, 84, of Erwin died Sunday afternoon at his residence. He was born in Beaufort County to the late John B. and Annie Clark Cutler.

Mr. Cutler was a member of Erwin United Methodist Church. He was also a member of Beulaville Masonic Lodge for over 50 years and was retired Senior Vice-President of Branch Bank & Trust Co. Bill received many awards and honors during his banking career including Erwin’s 1992 Man of the Year and Erwin United Methodist Church’s 1991 Lay Person of the Year. He also served and received an Honorable Discharge from the North Carolina National Guard and the United States Army.

A graveside service will be held 1:30 PM Wednesday at Erwin Memorial Park with Rev. Jimmy Tatum officiating.

Surviving are wife, Merle Sugg Cutler; two sons, William Neal Cutler and wife Anita, and Clark Cutler, both of Erwin; sister, Ethel Rae Matton of High Point and one grandchild, Victoria Cutler..

The family will receive friends and family after the service at the cemetery.
